Back in 2004, two Chicago attorneys got fed up at paying a fortune for neckties. So rather than continuing to complain about it, they created The Tie Bar. And they never looked back.
One attorney was responsible for teaching himself neckwear design. One attorney was responsible for teaching herself the retail business. At first, things didn’t go so smoothly. Money was lost. Mistakes were made. More money was lost. But slowly, the designing improved and word started to get around.
Soon after The Tie Bar was launched, its neckties began being featured by major media outlets such as GQ Magazine, NBC-TV, ABC-TV and the Wall Street Journal. Since then, numerous other newspapers, television programs and fashion magazines have showcased our ties, and our popularity continues to grow around the world.
Why? Because we design our own colorful and stylish 100% silk ties, and then sell them for only $15 each. That’s right, fifteen bucks for a great silk tie.
“I love your ties…in fact, one of the reasons I’m ordering now is that I was on Fox News Channel last Thursday night from Washington on Greta Van Sustern’s show. In the green room, I was visiting with Ted Williams, an attorney and regular on her show and he made several comments as to how much he liked my tie…when I finished my appearance, I took it off and gave it to Greta and said, “When Ted comes in tomorrow, give him the tie….he liked it and I wanted him to have it.” It was one I purchased from you guys and I knew where I could get a replacement. You have a great product and very reasonable prices. I can’t imagine why people pay $150 for the same tie you sell for $15. I hope your business prospers and grows—I’ll sure try to do my part!”
