Celebrations at TAO and LAVO heralded the arrival of 2012 in Las Vegas. Kim Kardashian hosted the festivities at TAO while Samantha Ronson manned the DJ booth at LAVO.
“It’s a tradition to ring in the New Year here at Tao!” said Kim Kardashian, ready to celebrate the arrival of 2012 at her favorite nightclub.
Fans flocked to the red carpet where Kim showed off pin straight hair and new bangs to go with her white Gucci long sleeve mini dress, Loren jewels and Christian Louboutin heels. She brought along her mother Kris Jenner who donned Dolce & Gabbana with a bowtie and a Judith Leiber penguin clutch. Also joining the group was her Dancing With The Stars partner Mark Ballas, Carla DiBello and other close friends. She made sure to greet the crowd, posed for photos and wished them a Happy New Year just before heading to dinner in the private dining room at TAO where she toasted her friends with a Midori cocktail.
After dinner they made their way to the nightclub as Kim danced and sang along to a Britney Spears song and then her mom had DJ Ross One surprise the New Year’s host with Kim’s song “Jam”. As midnight drew closer Kardashian took to the stage overlooking the entire club. She told the crowd “I am so excited and can’t wait for 2012 to come. Countdown with me!”
As they welcomed 2012 Kris Jenner and Mark Ballas stole the show with their dance moves as Mark dipped Kris and spun her around. He followed that up with a hip hop lesson that thrilled Kim as she watched.
“I am ready to move forward and not look back. I learned a lot of about myself this past year and at the end of the day you always have to trust your gut,” Kim said about this past year. “You’ve got to believe in love. I still do.”
Singer Natasha Bedingfield also celebrated 2012 at TAO. At LAVO Samantha Ronson provided the beats for the New Year. Ronson was on the mic and hyped the crowd as the clock struck 12. She led the crowd into 2012 with a high energy set and kept telling club goers to “Get your glow sticks in the air!” She was joined by her girlfriend Erin Foster, who stayed with her in the DJ booth all night.
Spotted ringing in the New Year at LAVO was Margot Robbie of ABC’s Pan Am, who celebrated her first time in Vegas with a group of Australian girlfriends from high school. She danced the night away on the banquette.
JD Williams, best known for his role on HBO’s The Wire was also at LAVO.
