Assouline, Tod’s, and Vogue introduced one of Assouline’s most anticipated titles of the season, American Beauty by Claiborne Swanson Frank with text by Genevieve Bahrenburg. The book features portraits shot by Claiborne of various fashionable American women: editors, socials, models, designers, musicians, artists, etc. About 250 people attended the event at the grand space uptown including many of the women featured in the book. Guests enjoyed passed hors d’oeuvres and cocktails along with music by DJ Solange Knowles who is also featured in the book. To evoke the book’s message of “American Beauty”, TOD’s displayed their iconic products such as the gommino and the D bag in an color array of red, white and blue throughout the event space Screens were set up throughout the venue projecting large images of the women featured in the book. Guests will were gifted the “American Beauty” Assouline book along with a TOD’s giftcard for the store.
